The coating standards matching game
Every inspector exam leans on standard numbers. Match each ISO, SSPC/NACE and ASTM standard to what it actually covers — 5 rounds, 30 pairs, against the clock. Free, no sign-up, every game is shuffled.
Tap a standard on the left, then its subject on the right. A correct pair locks green; a wrong guess flashes red and costs the first-try point for that standard. The pool holds 36 standards that CIP and FROSIO candidates are expected to recognise.
Why practise standard numbers?
AMPP CIP and FROSIO exams routinely name a standard in the question stem — ISO 8501-1 preparation grades, SSPC-SP 10 near-white blast, ASTM D4541 pull-off adhesion — and expect you to know its scope without looking it up. Confusing two numbers (SP 6 vs SP 10, ISO 2409 vs ISO 4624) is one of the cheapest ways to lose marks on questions you otherwise understand.
This game drills exactly that recall. All pairings are written from scratch against publicly available scope descriptions — no copied exam content, same rule as our question banks. When you can clear 30/30, move on to full blueprint-weighted mock exams.
