Mixing ratio calculator
How many litres of each component make the mixed volume you need, from the ratio by volume on the data sheet.
This tool is a reference aid. Before you act on a result, check it against your specification and the product data sheet.
Worked example
A 3:1 ratio is 3 parts base and 1 part hardener: 4 parts in total. For 8 L, base = 8 × 3 ÷ 4 = 6 L and hardener = 2 L. The trap is a hardener of one third of the mix (2.7 L).
Good practice
- Mix full kits where you can; split kits only by measured volume.
- If the data sheet gives the ratio by weight, weigh the components.
- Pot life starts when the components meet; induction time, if any, comes before application.
Try it in an exam-style question. The published AMPP CIP Level 1 guide lists mixing, induction time and pot life, and the FROSIO book lists them among the data-sheet items. The free readiness check shows the question style and explains every answer.
